Alright, let’s try this again! LOL

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays because to me it is the epitome of fall. It’s at a time where everything around you screams autumn, the leaves have changed and are falling off trees, the nights are cooler, and the days are shorter.

It also marks the first of many holiday get togethers that span the months ahead. Halloween is like the kick off celebration for the holiday season and is the first of many holidays that my family spends together making crafts, decorating, etc.

I’ve loved Halloween since I was a child and every year seeing the spooky merchandise, decorating, and carving pumpkins, brings back the nostalgic memories of my youth. And this year with my little one’s turning 2, I get to start carrying on the family love and traditions of Halloween to them.

I love Halloween! I love seeing all the costumes and how happy the kids get when they recieve candy door to door!

Hi my name is fisher and I am 4. My mom is typing for me, but I wanted to tell you the things I love most about Hallow’een. First, I love treats – that has to be said. Next, I like that we can be whatever we want and dress up. And, I like to decorate the house with spooky things and music. I like going knocking on houses and saying “trick or treat” all over the village (I live on a country lane). I like to help with the pumpkins, and I say YUCK when the gooey stuff inside gets on me. For about a month now I’ve been counting down the days to Halloween and reading stories about trick or treating, and since I love to read, I would love to have another book about Halloween.
Happy Trick and Treating
Love Fisher.

I love dressing my children (9 and 2) up and watching them as they act out their “parts”. I also enjoy seeing the other kids in their costumes as we trick-or-treat.

I actually don’t love Halloween. LOL I’m one of those that never really got into it. I do have good memories of the “Harvest Festival” we used to do at church where there would be lots of chili and fun. Other than that, my favorite part now is watching my son get excited about it.

Would love to win this book so that I could read it to our neighbour’s two little Chinese daughters who attend French school.

We love Halloween at our house! My youngest and I just put all our decorations up last week. Of course he keeps “rearranging” them for me but that’s what toddlers do. LOL Some of my favorite memories with my kids are made at our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch. LOVE it!! We’re going this weekend in fact and I can’t wait!!

I love costumes! My son is 3 and he gets sooo excited looking at costumes online even though he has already planned to wear his Batman costume for months now. His 1 year old brother will be Robin! Can’t wait! We make a big pot of chili in the crockpot and eat it all day with cornbread. Then we sit around and sort candy, loads and loads of candy!

I love the suspended reality of Halloween. It’s one of those holidays where you feel like anything could happen.
